After working full time for 16.5 months without any vacation time, I’m finally eligible to use time off!! I have seven days to use right now, and will slowly accrue an additional 10 days by the end of 2012.

While I would have loved to have a block of time off for Christmas/NYE the past couple of years, I’m now really looking forward to the future year and possible trips in store — I see a trip to NYC in the spring to visit Matt’s sister L and a possible trip to someplace fun with my family. I see myself stretching 3-day-holiday weekends into 4-day weekends to visit my family in Chicago (Memorial Day? Fourth of July?), and I especially see an entire, glorious, week off for Christmas 2012.
